Happy Friday! It’s been a long week in the market with the Fed Update, yesterday’s federal holiday market closure, and global uncertainty from geopolitical tensions.
To end each week, we do Tech Wrapped, which covers the tech investments that create some of the largest investment success stories, like the Magnificent 7 $AAPL ( ▲ 0.48% ), $MSFT ( ▲ 0.78% ) , $GOOGL ( ▼ 0.14% ), $AMZN ( ▲ 1.31% ), $NVDA ( ▲ 0.74% ) , $META ( ▲ 1.13% ), $TSLA ( ▲ 4.97% ). These 7 alone make up roughly 1/3rd of the S&P 500’s total market cap & have outperformed the S&P significantly by themselves.
And, with Elon Musk recently sharing that he’s stopped DOGE to focus on AI, it’s hard not to pay attention to investment opportunities in that lane:
“AI will so profoundly change the future… an economy that is not ten times more than the current economy, but an economy that is thousands of times, maybe millions…”
“Fixing the government is like the beach is dirty and there’s some needles and feces and like trash, and you want to clean up the beach. But then there’s also this thousand-foot pool of water, which is a tsunami (AI). And how much does cleaning the beach really matter if you've got a thousand-foot tsunami about to hit?

Most investors wait for the news. Smart ones watch the signals.
By the time it hits the news, it's old.
Smart investors don’t wait for CNBC to tell them what happened. They track the alt-signals that quietly build before the move hits the mainstream.

🛒 Amazon Sees AI Shrinking Corporate Workforce
Amazon CEO Andy Jassy announced that the rollout of generative AI and agents will reduce the company's total corporate workforce in the coming years.
In a note to employees, Jassy explained that AI will change how work is done, requiring "fewer people doing some of the jobs that are being done today, and more people doing other types of jobs." Investors should watch for margin improvements as AI adoption scales across Amazon’s operations.
🧬 Eli Lilly Pays Premium for Heart Drug Startup
Eli Lilly is acquiring Verve Therapeutics for up to $1.3 billion, wagering on a gene-editing treatment that could replace daily cholesterol pills with a single injection.
The deal includes $1 billion upfront and another $300 million in milestone payments, valuing Verve at more than double its recent trading price. While some analysts question the price tag, an upside could reshape how investors view long-term plays in genetic medicine.
🧠 Meta Misses Out On Poaching OpenAI
OpenAI CEO Sam Altman revealed that Mark Zuckerberg's Meta has been unsuccessful at poaching the company's top engineers, despite offering "$100 million signing bonuses".
Meta recently demonstrated its determination by acquiring a 49% stake in training data startup Scale AI for $14 billion. Alexandr Wang, Scale AI’s CEO, has joined Meta to lead its AGI push. The escalating talent war suggests investors should scrutinize AI companies' ability to retain key technical talent as a critical competitive advantage.
🛡️ Liberty Defense Wins Screening Contract
Liberty Defense has secured a new contract with a US airport for its advanced HEXWAVE screening hardware for detecting concealed weapons.
The company recently completed operational testing and security system evaluations at a Category X airport, conducted by the Federal Aviation Administration-funded National Safe Skies Alliance. Small-cap investors might find an opportunity in this niche security tech player as airport security regulations continue to tighten globally.
